Postdoc Position in Agile Software Development

The Department of Software Engineering, Safety and Security at SINTEF ICT
is expanding due to an increased project portfolio within the area of
Agile Software Development. We are currently seeking an innovative postdoctoral researcher with excellent software engineering or information systems skills wanting to contribute to high-quality research in a young and creative research group.
The postdoctoral researcher will take part in research projects funded by the Research Council of Norway. The projects aim to develop a better
theoretical and empirical basis of the trade-offs between agility and
discipline in effective software development. Reaching this goal requires
a collaborative effort from a dedicated team of highly skilled researchers
in close cooperation with industry.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates are expected to have an interest in pursuing empirical research
in the use of agile methods in an industrial context. Applicants are
expected to have a PhD in Software Engineering or Information Systems and
have research experience with agile methods and publications in relevant
international journals and conference proceedings. Fluency in speech and
writing in English, as well as good social skills and the ability to work
independently as well as in a team are required. If you also have

LOCATION:

The SINTEF Group is the largest independent research institution in
Scandinavia. SINTEF ICT is an institute within the SINTEF group with
departments in Trondheim and Oslo. SINTEF ICT undertakes contract research
and development projects for industry and the public sector in the area of
information and communication technology. SINTEF ICT has approx. 280
employees and collaborates closely with the Norwegian University of
Science and Technology (NTNU), the University of Oslo, the Simula Research
Laboratory as well as with a large number of industries and academic
